About Shirley

Shirley attended SUNY New Paltz and Queens College and holds a degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and Education. Her experiences include training clients 1-1, youth, small/large groups, seniors, and training in a physical therapy clinic. Shirley has been active and interested in nutrition from a young age and was a gymnast, swimmer, and spin instructor before becoming a trainer/instructor. She believes everyone is capable of achieving their goals, no matter when and how they start. As a trainer, she most loves inspiring individuals through combining fitness and nutrition, as she believes that is how goals are most optimally reached and sustained.

Peter G. Hammer, 57. Certified Personal Trainer since October 2009. Member of the New York Sports Club since January 2001. NASM Certified. Certifications: Corrective Exercise, Weight Loss Specialist, Golf Fitness Specialist, Senior Fitness Specialist, Women's Fitness Specialist, Youth Fitness Specialist, Flexibility Specialist...NYPD Retired January 2008.....I was an athlete my whole life and played Division One College Baseball from January 1984 through March 1986. I had a shoulder injury in 1984 which introduced me to Sports Fitness/Resistance Training. I am an avid weight lifter/runner since. I love training people to get stronger regardless of age.
