How do I sign up for a membership at NYSC?
You can join online or stop by any NYSC location. Our team will help you choose the best plan based on your fitness goals and location needs.
Can I bring a guest?
You may bring guests only during special promotions such as designated guest weeks, which we hold several times per year. You may also redeem rewards points you earn through our free MY Club Rewards loyalty program for guest passes. Outside of these occurrences, guest access is not included with standard memberships.
If you have a friend who is interested in becoming a member and has never tried the Club, you can refer them through our MY Club Rewards program to receive a free guest pass and experience the Club before joining.
For other guest visits, a daily guest fee may apply. Fees vary by location, so please contact your Club directly for details.
Are all NYSC policies the same for every member?
Club access may vary based on your membership type, but all members are expected to follow the same policies for in-club behavior. For details specific to your membership, please review your Membership Agreement.
Can I share my membership with someone else?
No. All NYSC memberships are individual. Sharing your barcode or allowing someone else to use your membership will result in immediate termination. Everyone entering an NYSC location must either be a current member or a registered guest.
What types of memberships do you offer?
All NYSC memberships include unlimited group fitness classes, and we offer several options to fit different needs:
- Neighborhood Memberships: Provide single-club access and are available only at select locations.
- Passport Memberships: Include access to all NYSC locations.
- Annual Commit Memberships: Offer discounted monthly dues with a 12-month commitment (available at select locations).
- Month-to-Month Memberships: Provide flexibility with no long-term contract.
- Student Memberships: Discounted memberships for students with proof of school enrollment.

Is there a commitment or a contract?
All NYSC memberships are legally binding agreements that outline important details such as dues, policies, and Club rules. For members who prefer flexibility, we offer month-to-month memberships with no long-term obligation. If you choose an Annual Membership, you’ll agree to a 12-month term. Once that period is complete, your membership automatically continues on a month-to-month basis, so you can keep your routine going.
Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Yes. To freeze or cancel, click here or contact your club for assistance. Learn more about our policies for club and membership policies here.
What is the annual fee, and when is it charged?
The Annual Fee supports ongoing investments in our equipment, programs, and facilities to enhance your fitness experience. It is billed 7 days after you join (if applicable), and then once per year on that same calendar date.
What amenities are included in my membership?
Amenities vary by location, but may include cardio and strength equipment, group fitness classes, locker rooms, saunas, functional turf areas, recovery lounges, and more. Check our locations page for specific offerings by location.
Do I need to register for group fitness classes?
Yes. We ask all members to register prior to the start of class to reserve a spot. Registration opens 48 hours in advance of the scheduled class time. Classes can be booked here. This helps us manage class sizes and ensure the best experience for everyone. Before attending, please also review our Rules of the Room for expectations around behavior, punctuality, and safety.
Are virtual classes available?
Yes! Most memberships include access to on-demand classes that you can take anytime, anywhere through our mobile app, perfect for busy schedules or travel.
What is a Personal Training Membership (PTM), and who is eligible?
Personal Training Membership (PTM) is an add-on for active NYSC members who want to commit to ongoing training support. To be eligible, you must have a current Club membership in good standing. PTM agreements require a minimum commitment period, which is outlined in your individual agreement. Speak with a team member at your Club to confirm your required term length and any associated fees if you cancel early or fail to complete the full commitment.
Can I freeze or pause my Personal Training Membership?
Personal Training Memberships (PTM) cannot be frozen, paused, or placed on hold during the commitment period. Once your membership begins, it must be used continuously through the agreed-upon duration. During the initial 3-month PTM term, you may not downgrade your PTM. After that period, standard downgrade options may apply.
Can I share or transfer my Personal Training Membership to someone else?
No. Personal Training Memberships are non-transferable and limited to one membership per individual. Sessions and benefits cannot be shared with or transferred to other members, including family or friends.
Do my personal training sessions expire?
Yes. All personal training sessions come with a specific expiration date. It is your responsibility to use your sessions before they expire, as unused sessions cannot be reinstated or extended beyond the original expiration window. This policy applies to both membership-based sessions and single-session purchases.
For members with a Personal Training Membership (PTM), sessions are billed once per month. When choosing the PTM that’s right for you, please keep in mind that all sessions should be completed within the calendar month in which they are billed.
What are my options if I don’t want a Personal Training Membership? Can I purchase individual training sessions instead?
If you prefer a more flexible option, you can purchase individual 60-minute or 30-minute personal training sessions. There is no limit to how many sessions you can buy, but please note that all sessions have an expiration date and must be used within that timeframe. Just like PTM sessions, unused sessions cannot be reinstated or extended after expiration.
Are single training sessions refundable or transferable?
All training sessions, whether purchased individually or as part of a membership, are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sessions can only be used by the person who purchased them and must be used at the Club where they were purchased.
What is the cancellation policy for personal training sessions?
If you need to cancel a scheduled training session, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Can I coach or train others in the Club if I’m not an NYSC employee?
No. Only certified coaches and trainers employed or contracted by New TSI Holdings, Inc. are permitted to offer personal training, coaching, or therapy services at any NYSC location. This includes Personal Training, Team Coaching, Private Coaching, and Physical Therapy. Any member or guest found conducting unauthorized coaching may face immediate action, including membership termination.
What are the age requirements to use NYSC facilities?
Anyone 14 years or older may join with a parent or guardian’s consent. Children under 14 may not use the cardio areas, strength zones, or group exercise studios unless enrolled in a supervised program. Age rules for racquet sports and pools may vary. Please check with your Club directly.
Can I use my phone to film my workout?
Filming your workout is permitted in general workout spaces, but we ask that you do so respectfully and avoid capturing other members in your videos or photos. For everyone’s privacy, photography and video recording are strictly prohibited in locker rooms, steam rooms, saunas, spa treatment areas, and pools.
What are the sauna and steam room rules?
To ensure a relaxing experience for all members, a towel must be worn at all times in the sauna and steam room. Phones and electronic devices are not permitted, and we ask that you keep conversations quiet or refrain from speaking altogether. Food and beverages are not allowed in these areas. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in the suspension of sauna and steam room access or cancellation of your membership.
Is towel service available?
Many of our Clubs offer towel service for members. Depending on your membership type and location, there may be an additional fee for this amenity. We kindly ask that all members limit themselves to one towel per visit to ensure availability for everyone.
How do I update my account info, such as billing?
The easiest way to update your account information is through the NYSC App. Open the app, tap the three dots, and go to Payment Methods under My Account to update your billing details. You can also update your information at the front desk of your home Club if you prefer in-person assistance.
How do I change my home club?
You can request a home club change by visiting the front desk.
If you are a Passport Member relocating to a Neighborhood Club, or a Neighborhood Member moving to a new Neighborhood Club, please visit the front desk at your new location. Our team will help you update your membership and agreement so that it reflects your new home Club.
